Today, my Governor (David Patterson of N.Y.) proposed a billion dollars in new taxes. Already, my state is #2 or #3 in highest taxes in the nation. How much more do these guys need? They spend like drunken sailors and then hand us the tab! It’s ridiculous! How much more can we possibly pay? We must cut spending and cut taxes. Let’s allow people to use more of their money to prime the economic pump. Jacking up taxes will only lead to more companies laying people off and more people on the public dole which leads to more govt. spending. Enough is enough!
Taxation is necessary yes,but this level of taxation is wrong. We should make medicare, medicaid, welfare, and social security an opt out so you choose to go into them. Thus you pay 35% less in taxes right away. You get rid o the 700 offshore bases bring that 100 billion home to help those who are on social security and medicare. And get rid of big government departments like Education,Agriculture,Commerce,Transportation, energy, and a few more. Replace the entire tax code with a 15% national sales tax.
